1920s Berlin, Reimagined

in Brooklyn

Fritz is a 1920s Berlin–inspired cocktail bar in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, created by Ayana and Tobias, the German couple behind the beloved Black Forest Brooklyn restaurants.

Join us at Fritz for an elegant Oscars watch party with award-worthy cocktails and the ceremony streaming live. Sunday March 15, 6:30pm onwards. Reservations recommended

Inspired by the decadent nightlife of Berlin’s Golden Twenties, Fritz channels that spirit into beautifully crafted cocktails, elegant surroundings, and a bar that stays lively late into the evening.

Like the Berlin that inspired it, Fritz celebrates openness, creativity, and self-expression — and welcomes everyone, including those who identify as LGBTQ+ and embrace gender fluidity.

Fritz is a 1920s Berlin–inspired cocktail bar located next door to Black Forest Brooklyn’s Fort Greene location, combining vintage elegance with a modern cocktail program. Our signature drinks draw inspiration from classic cocktails of the era, thoughtfully reimagined with a contemporary Brooklyn twist.

The menu is complemented by elevated bar fare with a subtle German influence, including seafood-forward dishes prepared in our wood-fired oven.

Inside, Fritz is warm and intimate, with a red cabaret curtain separating the bar from the bustling street outside. Dark walls, gold accents, and Art Deco–inspired design create a refined atmosphere. The walls feature black-and-white images of 1920s Berlin alongside a commissioned painting by Berlin artist Jim Avignon.

Fritz also features a hidden backyard oasis — a partially covered outdoor patio perfect for intimate gatherings and private events.
