Where 1920s Berlin Meets Modern Brooklyn

Fritz is a 1920s Berlin-inspired cocktail bar in Fort Greene, Brooklyn created by Ayana and Tobias, the German couple behind the popular Black Forest Brooklyn restaurants.

We aim to transport you to the vibrant and captivating era of 1920s Berlin, where metropolitan culture and hedonistic nightlife flourished. Through our expertly crafted cocktails, elevated bar fare and elegant ambiance, we strive to create unforgettable experiences that evoke Berlin’s Golden Twenties.

In the true spirit of 1920s Berlin, we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers, including those who identify as LGBTQ+ and embrace gender fluidity.

Happy Hour ‘til 6pm everyday: Half-off oysters, $10 select cocktails, $8 wines, $5 beers.

Fritz, located next door to Black Forest Brooklyn’s Fort Greene location, offers a unique, refined atmosphere that marries the elegance of the era with a modern cocktail program designed by the renowned Muddling Memories team. Our signature drinks are inspired by classic 1920s cocktail recipes, expertly crafted, and given a contemporary Brooklyn update. The drinks are complemented by elevated, seafood-centric bar fare with a German twist, carefully prepared in our wood-fired oven.

The space is both cozy and inviting, with a red “cabaret” curtain separating the bar from the bustling street outside. The luxurious decor of Fritz Cocktail Bar features dark walls, and gold accents in a modern, Art Deco-inspired design. The walls are adorned with black and white images of 1920s Berlin, and a commissioned painting by Berlin artist Jim Avignon.

Fritz Cocktail Bar also features a hidden backyard oasis; a partially covered outdoor patio that provides the perfect setting for intimate gatherings and special events.
